TRW-Lucas and ZF – successful joint presentation at the Intermot
At the Intermot in Cologne, TRW-Lucas and ZF shared a stand for the motorcycle sector for the first time. TRW was integrated into the technology group last year and the Intermot was the ideal occasion for presenting the product portfolio which was significantly expanded through the merger.
TRW-Lucas presented the entire range of brake components, clutches, rearsets and handlebars as well as attractive accessories and the latest product developments in Cologne. Visitors were particularly enthusiastic about the completely redesigned brake and clutch levers, an even lighter and more delicate version of the rearsets from the “Black Edition” series, a new range of brake disc screws and the brake discs with pre-installed floaters specially designed for BMW motorcycles. The successful trade fair appearance was completed by the interactive TRW-Lucas demo bike and a brand new video from the “TRW True Originals” series which transported visitors into the world of TRW-Lucas.
While TRW-Lucas is the specialist for motorcycle spare parts and accessories, ZF focuses on components which leading motorcycle manufacturers install into the vehicles at the factory. At the Intermot, ZF primarily presented telescopic forks, suspension struts and steering dampers as well as damping modules such as the adaptive damping system Continuous Damping Control (CDC) and the Nivomat ride-height control.
Ulf Haase, Motorcycle Manager TRW Parts & Service Europe, considered the result of five successful trade fair days: “From 5 to 9 October 2016, we welcomed more visitors at our trade fair stand in Cologne than at any other Intermot before. The interest from trade visitors from all over the world was particularly impressive. We made a great number of new contacts and the professional discussions repeatedly revealed how much the cooperation between ZF and TRW-Lucas is appreciated. Both brands stand for more riding comfort and safety and complement each other perfectly. The cooperation of our cross-company trade fair team in Cologne with employees from ZF and TRW-Lucas was correspondingly successful and I would like to take this opportunity to thank them once again.”
